SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

CAUTION:

  • Contents under extreme pressure. Do not expose to heat or store at temperatures exceeding 44° C (120° F). For use as a self-defense spray ONLY! Avoid accidental contact with skin or clothing.
  • Pepper Spray will incapacitate a person for up to 45 minutes with no after-effects. Unlike other aerosol defense weapons, pepper spray is effective on people who are pain resistant, under the influence of alcohol, narcotics, emotionally enraged or psychotic. Additionally, Pepper Spray will repel attacking animals.
  • Failure to follow these instructions may result in first or second degree burns, severe skin irritation, or other skin injury.

EFFECTS:

Pepper Spray will cause the attacker’s eyes to close, produce uncontrollable coughing, disorientation, panic, and a loss of muscular strength and control.

FIRST AID:

Remove contact lenses and contaminated clothing immediately. Flush infected area with large quantities of cool water or a diluted baking soda solution and expose the area to fresh air as soon as possible. Do not apply salves, creams, oils, or lotions as they can trap the irritant agent against the skin and result in blisters or burns. Consult a physician if irritation persists. Contaminated clothing should be washed or dry-cleaned, as appropriate, before re-use to prevent skin injury.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Common sense must be used at all times in connection with the use of any nonlethal aerosol self-defense product. It is not recommended to be against any person armed with a gun, knife, or any other lethal weapon unless there are no other means of defense or escape. While this is an effective personal defense product, it is not a substitute for individual precautions or diligence. Escape without actually physically engaging the assailant is the best alternative, and the use of your unit should be as a last resort.

LEGAL RESTRICTIONS:

If you have any questions about the legality of purchase, possession, or use of this product in your locality, you should check with local law enforcement agencies. Carrying or transporting this product on any passenger aircraft is unlawful. This product is designed for personal self-defensive purposes only. This product should only be used by persons 18 and up.

USING PERSONAL SAVERS PRODUCTS:

To be effective, your Personal Savers product MUST be immediately accessible to you. During a moment of stress or surprise, you may not have the time to search for your product. Therefore you should always be aware of exactly where your product is and be able to reach it without delay. When you believe that you’re in, or maybe in a situation that could give rise to the use of your Pepper Spray, take it out of its holder and put in your hand (gripping it firmly so it cannot be taken from you). Unlock the red actuator lever by twisting to the right and, if necessary, press down firmly on the actuator, using short bursts aimed directly at the face of the attacker(s). The product is most effective when you engulf the attacker’s eyes, nose, and mouth. Continue to use short bursts until the attacker is repelled then IMMEDIATELY escape to safety. Notify the police as soon as possible. You should shield your face and eyes if firing into the wind.

There are multiple ways to mount the Barricade to your bike to work with your bike’s geometry.

Water Bottle Mounting

1. Use the water bottle mounting screws provided to secure the Barricade bracket to your water bottle mounting area on your bike. If you already have a water bottle cage on your bike, the Barricade is designed to fit under the water bottle cage.

3. Screw the Barricade mount to your bike.

4. If you have a water bottle cage already on your bike. Take off your waterbottle cage from your bike and align the Barricade bracket with the holes on your water bottle cage.

Strap Mounting

1. Place the Barricade bracket with the rubber side down in a position on your bike that fits your geometry. There are endless ways to mount the bracket from your seat post, down tubes and top tubes.

2. Once you find the exact place you would like to mount the bracket, use one of the two silicone velcro straps provided to fasten the bracket to your bike. There are two different sized straps to accommodate different diameter mounting spots.

3. Wrap the velcro strap with the silicone side down towards the bracket, so the silicone can grip your frame or seat post when you tighten the strap. Feed the end of the velcro through the plastic loop and tighten the strap.

4. After tightening the strap, the bracket should be securely fastened to your bike. There shouldn’t be any wiggling of the bracket once attached to your desired mounting position. If there is any wiggle in the mount, try mounting it in a different location on your bike.
